Working in Sharjah

What Sharjah companies ask us for.

Sharjah is the UAE’s industrial workshop. SAIF Zone and Hamriyah Free Zone host thousands of manufacturers and traders, and both ask for audited financial statements every year. The newer zones, SPC, SHAMS and SRTIP, are popular with consultancies, media firms and technology start-ups.

Being close matters for industrial clients: inventory counts, fixed asset verification and warehouse visits are a normal part of the audit, and we are near enough to do them without fuss.

The short answer

Does your company need an audit in the UAE?

In most cases, yes. Three separate rules can make an audit compulsory, and many companies fall under more than one of them.

  • Free zone companies

Most free zones, including DMCC, JAFZA and DAFZ, ask for audited financial statements every year before they renew the licence.

  • Corporate tax payers

Audited statements are mandatory once revenue passes AED 50 million, and for every Qualifying Free Zone Person whatever its size.

  • Mainland LLCs

The Commercial Companies Law requires a licensed auditor and accounting records kept for at least five years.

Ask on WhatsApp

Do you have an office in Sharjah?

Our office is in Al Quoz, Dubai. We serve Sharjah companies through secure document upload, video calls and site visits when the audit needs them, such as inventory counts. Audit firms in the UAE are registered at federal level, so we act for companies in every emirate.

How much does an audit cost in Sharjah?

The fee depends on turnover, the number of transactions and the state of the books, not on the emirate. After a short call we send a fixed quote in writing, agreed before any fieldwork starts.

Is an audit mandatory for companies in Sharjah?

The rules are federal. Mainland LLCs must appoint a licensed auditor, most free zones ask for audited statements at renewal, and the corporate tax rules require them for businesses with revenue above AED 50 million and for every Qualifying Free Zone Person.
