UAE E-Invoicing in QuickBooks, Zoho, Xero, Tally and Odoo: What Works

Your accounting software can create the invoice, but it cannot deliver a UAE e-invoice on its own. Every e-invoice has to travel through an Accredited Service Provider approved by the Ministry of Finance, in the PINT AE data format, over the Peppol network. So the real question is whether your software can produce that data and connect to an accredited provider. Here is where the main packages stood on 27 October 2026.

How an e-invoice reaches your customer and the FTA

The UAE uses what the Ministry calls a five-corner model. Your system (corner 1) sends the invoice data to your provider (corner 2). Your provider validates it and delivers it to your customer’s provider (corner 3), which passes it to your customer (corner 4). Your provider also reports the tax data to the Federal Tax Authority (corner 5). Your business is identified on the network by its tax identification number, the first 10 digits of its TRN.

That is why buying new software is not the first step. What matters is whether your software can export complete PINT AE data and hand it to a provider, either because the software company is an accredited provider itself or through a connector.

Where the main packages stand

Software Position on 27 October 2026 What it means for you
Zoho Books Zoho Software Trading LLC is on the Ministry’s list of accredited providers. Check which plans include UAE e-invoicing and what it costs per invoice.
Tally Tally Software Solutions FZCO is on the Ministry’s list. Check that your Tally version and licence support it.
SAP SAP Middle East & North Africa LLC is on the Ministry’s list. Large SAP users usually need an integration project, so start early.
Xero Xero says UAE e-invoicing is available through Invoici, using the accredited provider Casim, on its Starter, Standard and Premium plans. Confirm the set-up with Xero for your organisation.
QuickBooks Online Intuit is not on the Ministry’s list, and we found no Intuit announcement for the UAE. You need a third-party connector to an accredited provider.
Odoo Odoo is not on the Ministry’s list. Third-party modules can produce PINT AE data. A module alone is not enough. You still appoint an accredited provider.

The provider list changes often. It had 79 accredited providers on 27 October 2026, and each accreditation lasts two years. Check the current list on the Ministry of Finance website before you sign anything.

What to check before you choose

  • Customer data: do you hold tax registration numbers for your business customers, in a consistent format?
  • Item data: does every product and service carry the right VAT category and a clear description?
  • Credit notes: can your system issue e-credit notes linked to the original invoice?
  • Self-billing and agents: do you self-bill, or invoice on behalf of a principal? These flows need testing.
  • Timing: can you issue each invoice within 14 business days of the transaction?
  • Cost: compare price per invoice or per year, set-up fees and storage across providers.

If you use QuickBooks Online

This is the question we hear most. Until Intuit announces UAE support or an accredited partnership, a QuickBooks Online business has three practical paths: a connector that reads invoices from QuickBooks and sends PINT AE data to an accredited provider, an accredited provider’s own portal or API for issuing invoices, or a move to software that already connects to a provider. The right choice depends on your invoice volume and how close your deadline is.

Plan from your deadline

Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more go live on 1 January 2027. Everyone else must appoint a provider by 31 March 2027 and go live on 1 July 2027. See our guide to the UAE e-invoicing deadlines for the full timeline.

Questions owners ask

Does QuickBooks support UAE e-invoicing?

As of 27 October 2026, Intuit is not on the Ministry of Finance list of Accredited Service Providers, and we found no Intuit announcement for the UAE. QuickBooks Online users need a third-party connector that turns their invoices into PINT AE data and passes them to an accredited provider.

Is Zoho Books an Accredited Service Provider?

Zoho Software Trading LLC appears on the Ministry of Finance list of Accredited Service Providers. Confirm with Zoho which plans and editions include UAE e-invoicing before you rely on it.

Do I need to change my accounting software for e-invoicing?

Not always. If your software can produce the required data and connect to an accredited provider, directly or through a connector, you can keep it. Changing software close to your go-live date adds risk, so decide early.

Where is the official list of Accredited Service Providers?

On the Ministry of Finance website. It had 79 accredited providers on 27 October 2026 and is updated regularly. Accreditation is valid for two years.
